User defined waveform instructions
In the custom waveform function, each custom waveform is composed of at least one, at most three sections and a pause time. The three sections are set in the same way. You can open or close sections 2 and 3 by clicking the button on the right side of section.
Each section is composed of several pulse units repeated for a certain number of times. For example, we close the second and third sections and only keep the first section. As you can see, the first section now consists of five consecutive triangular pulse. The triangular pulse is the pulse unit. The first section is generated by repeating the triangular pulse unit five times.
By dragging the first slider, you can set the frequency of this section. The thinner the vertical lines on the image, the lower the frequency. The denser the vertical lines on the image, the higher the frequency. The frequency can be set to a fixed value or change automatically. The specific setting method will be introduced later.
In the middle vertical line area, you can set the shape and duration of the pulse unit. You can increase / decrease the number of vertical lines by clicking the plus and minus sign on the right, that is, increase / decrease the duration of the pulse unit. Among them, each vertical line represents 0.1 second. For example, the triangular pulse unit in the figure below is composed of four vertical lines, so the duration of this pulse unit is 0.4 seconds. Then the duration of the pulse unit will increase synchronously with the continuous click.
You will find that the repetition times of the pulse unit decrease with the increase of the pulse unit duration. When the pulse unit duration is 0.6 seconds, it is repeated five times, while when the pulse unit duration is 1 second, it is repeated only three times. This is because we set the duration of the section to 3 seconds. 3s / 0.6s = 5 times; 3s / 1s = 3 times.
By dragging the slider, we can increase / decrease the duration of the section. It should be noted that the pulse unit must be repeated integer times (rounded up). That is to say, if we set the duration of the bar to 1.6 seconds, the pulse unit lasting for 0.3 seconds will repeat six times (1.8s) before entering the rest time. The value in brackets after the section duration is the real duration after rounding.
The higher the position of the slider on the vertical line, the higher the intensity of the pulse unit in the 0.1 second. You can make a slider become "anchor" by dragging the slider. The slider you dragged will become solid, and its height will remain unchanged. The sliders that have not been dragged by you are hollow, and their positions will be automatically filled to make the waveform change smooth.
By clicking the cross on the anchor slider. You can restore it to a hollow (auto fill) state.
It should be noted that when you click the minus sign to reduce the number of vertical lines, only non anchor vertical lines will be deleted. If you want to delete an anchor, you need to click the cross first to restore it to a hollow state.
Now let's introduce the first slider, namely frequency control in detail. It has four control modes.
Mode1: the frequency remains unchanged during the duration of the section. The closer the slider is to the left, the higher the frequency is. The closer the slider is to the right, the lower the frequency is.
Mode 2: frequency changes from one frequency to another in the whole duration of this section. You can set the frequency from high to low or from low to high by dragging the two sliders.
Mode 3: the frequency changes from one frequency to another in each pulse unit in this section.
Mode 4: the internal frequency of each pulse unit in this section is fixed, but the frequency will gradually change from one frequency to another between the pulse unit and the pulse unit.
Adjust the length of rest time: still through the slider adjustment, the minimum can be set to zero.
High and low frequency balance adjustment: by dragging the slider bar, you can control whether the feeling of high frequency is stronger or that of low frequency is stronger in this waveform. The more left the slider is, the stronger the feeling of high frequency part is. The more right the slider is, the stronger the feeling of low frequency part is. This change will not be shown on the waveform.
